Keiichi Tsuchiya Pluspy Films | AE86 Drift Pluspy Video

Keiichi Tsuchiya also known as drift king, a disciple of Takashi born in Japan on January 30, 1956, honed his skills on the mountain roads of Japan elevating the image of drifting culture. Pluspy is a series of videos in Japan showcasing Keiichi Tsuchiya techniques, the idea behind making Pluspy videos came into being after media houses saw the popularity of Keiichi Tsuchiya drifting culture, through this they wanted to spread more about techniques used while drifting and how one can achieve.  It captures the real experiences of Keiichi Tsuchiya making it easy for budding racers.

Pluspy videos showed Keiichi driving techniques where he lost traction while maintaining control, showcasing his ability to maintain high speeds while drifting. It gave a new direction to Japanese racing culture, setting the bars high for other nations. The drifting shown in pluspy videos gained worldwide popularity because of its complexity and uniqueness.  

There are three movies inspired by Keiichi Tsuchiya pluspy videos and his drifting techniques, they were diminutive movies but created a huge impact among racers. If you are someone who enjoys racing or likes thrilling experiences, then these movies are for you.

The Touge Part 1

The movie begins with Keiichi Tsuchiya Initials, and we get to know about Keiichi Tsuchiya’s career in detail. The Touge refers to mountain roads in Japan, where drifting takes place. The movie showcases underground racing culture on perilous mountain roads. The ardent and rip-roaring racing scenes makes people fall in love with drifting style and making it eminent worldwide however movies like Touge can provoke illegal street racing and create distortion. But it Is to note that the film is created to give drifting experience to people and spread awareness among enthusiasts. 

The Touge Part 2

The part 2 follows the same approach but features GTV Trueno at Gotemba Touge .It shows the importance of drifting and how one could practice and become like Keiichi Tsuchiya. The drifting technique took a leap in Japan during the 80s and 90s.

West of Sendai 

 In the third movie called ‘’Sendai no Nishi’’ (West of Sendai), Keiichi takes on Hi-Land Circuit with his own lovely car AE86 Trueno. earlier People used to buy the movies at +P’s tuning shop in Kanagawa or bundled with Carboy magazines. But later on, the authorities took strict action and removed the tapes from the market because they were promoting illegal drifting. Tsuchiya-san also lost his racing license. 

Wangan Midnight 

A popular Japanese manga featuring high speed street racing and gives adrenaline rush to people. A young street racer who races against a powerful black Porsche 911 known as Blackbird. The movie shows the real challenges faced by racers during racing. 

The gripping techniques shown in the movie portrays a racing culture in Japan.

How did Keiichi Liscence Suspended During Pluspy 

Keiichi Tsuchiya license was suspended for illegal racing he was doing for Pluspy. Keiichi grappled due to suspension but his pursuit for racing continued.  Also, we can see how this incident led Keiichi Tsuchiya to spread word of mouth about professional racing. The series shuto Kousoku trial reveals how Keiichi advised street racers to leave the felonious racing.
