BMW M2 CS Launched in India with 530hp, 302kph Top Speed

BMW M2 CS has arrived in India as the most extreme version of the compact M coupe yet. Priced at Rs 1.7 crore (ex-showroom), it brings 530hp, serious track hardware, and a strictly limited allocation. Only the second CS-badged model to reach Indian shores after the M4 CS, it makes a strong case for those who want the sharpest driver’s car under two crore.

Key Highlights:

  • 530hp / 650Nm from a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six; 0–100kph in 3.8 seconds
  • 30kg lighter than the standard M2 thanks to carbon fibre roof and boot lid
  • Rs 1.7 crore ex-showroom; very limited India allocation

BMW M2 CS: Performance

BMW M2 CS draws power from a reworked version of the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six. Output climbs to 530hp and 650Nm — 50hp and 50Nm above the standard car — figures that match the larger M4 Competition. Stiffer engine mounts and revised internals deliver that extra punch. Top speed hits 302kph.

The CS drops 30kg over the regular M2, reaching a kerb weight of 1,710kg. Carbon fibre covers the roof and boot lid. The car sits 8mm lower and runs revised springs, dampers, and chassis control tuning for track-focused behaviour. Why no manual? The standard car’s 6-speed unit simply cannot handle the CS engine’s torque output — so only an 8-speed automatic with rear-wheel drive makes the cut.

BMW M2 CS: Design and Exterior

BMW M2 CS carries a subtle but purposeful exterior upgrade. A reworked front grille improves airflow, while the rear tells the full story — a large integrated ducktail spoiler, a more aggressive diffuser, and quad exhausts in matte black finish. Staggered forged alloy wheels — 19-inch up front, 20-inch at the rear — come finished in gold as standard, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber. Track tyres are a no-cost option. Four colours are on offer: Black Sapphire, Portimao Blue, Brooklyn Grey, and Velvet Blue.

BMW M2 CS: Interior

BMW M2 CS swaps standard seats for deeply contoured carbon fibre bucket seats trimmed in leather with M-colour stitching. They offer electric adjustment and heating, but no ventilation. Carbon fibre trims run across the dashboard, centre console, and door pads. An Alcantara M steering wheel, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and parking assist round out the package. With only a handful of units heading to India, this is one BMW where hesitation will cost you the car.
