Triumph Tracker 400 – Royal Enfield New Rival

On December 16, 2025, Triumph officially expanded its “TR-Series” lineup with the global reveal of the Triumph Tracker 400. Inspired by American flat-track racing, this latest model is a stripped-back, aggressive option on the well established Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X.

2026 Triumph Tracker 400: Performance and Engineering

The bike utilizes the already 398cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, but in a more potent state of tune shared with the Thruxton 400. It delivers 41.4 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, a 2 bhp increase over the Speed 400. Plus, a 6-speed gearbox equipped with a slip-and-assist clutch for spirited moods of the rider.

The Tracker 400 stands out with its minimalist “Eager to move” aesthetic, featuring a boxy fuel tank, race-number-style side panels, and a minimal windsccreen. Ergonomically, it is designed for a commanding, “elbows-out” stance. The handlebars are 23mm wider and 134mm lower than the Speed 400, while the footpegs are moved 86mm back and 27mm higher. With a seat height of 805mm and a kerb weight of 173 kg, its said to offer a balanced yet focused riding experience.

The bike is built on a hybrid steel perimeter frame with high-spec 43mm USD front forks and a gas-charged rear monoshock . It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli MT60 RS dual-purpose tires, resulting in ensuring grip on both tarmac and light trails. Modern tech includes: 

  • Switchable Traction Control and Dual-Channel ABS.
  • Ride-by-wire throttle and full LED lighting.
  • A semi-digital instrument cluster and an integrated USB-C charging port

2026 Triumph Tracker 400: Pricing

Industry analysts and automotive experts project the following price bracket based on its positioning within the current 400cc lineup: 

  • Expected Ex-Showroom Price: ₹2.25 Lakh – ₹2.40 Lakh.
  • Alternative Estimates: Some reports place it slightly higher, between ₹2.50 Lakh and ₹2.70 Lakh, mirroring the Scrambler 400 X’s structure.
  • Direct Currency Conversion: The UK price of £5,745 converts to approximately Rs 7.02 lakhs. However, local manufacturing might result in lower pricing for the Indian market.
